The “six months later” flash-forward scene at the end of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3 left fans with a lot of questions.
Questions such as: What drives Daisy to leave S.H.I.E.L.D.? Why is she creating earthquakes? And, perhaps most importantly, why is Phil Coulson no longer the director?
And who is the new director? Glenn Talbot?
(My bet — and my hope — is that Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson, will return to direct S.H.I.E.L.D.)
Here, to answer those questions — in that extreme not-giving-anything-away method that actors have perfected — is Clark Gregg.
He told Entertainment Weekly: “[Coulson’s] not the director anymore. His destiny is not so much in his own hand as it used to be. The person he cares about is on the run and seems to be very sought after by the authorities. It’s very much changing the game for Coulson. Certainly from that teaser of where we’ll be next season, he does not seem to be in good shape.”
That’s it? Yes, that’s it.
