Now that DC’s Justice League movies are getting into full swing, more casting decisions for supporting roles in future films is being confirmed.
After rumors that Amber Heard was being considered for the role of Queen Mera — Aquaman’s main love interest and the eventual Queen of Atlantis — the actress confirmed this week that she had indeed accepted the role. She has even tried on the costume which she says is still being designed.
Speaking to ET about her upcoming film, The Adderall Diaries, Heard commented on the costume, saying, “I have [tried it on]. It’s… interesting [laughs]. I’m wearing, um… it’s like, half suit of armor, half scales. I don’t know, it’s strange. But we’re in the process of building it now, so it’s coming along.”
Soon enough, she won’t have to describe it for us. We’ll be able to see it for ourselves.
Jason Mamoa is already set to take on the role of Aquaman. He is set to make an appearance in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice which is in theaters on March 26th.SuperFable
