Stephen Amell got the script for the fifth season of Arrow this week, and he really liked what he saw.
He had three words to describe the Season 5 premiere: Mean. Violent. Vicious.
He took to a Facebook Live Chat to tease some of the things we can expect from the new season, which we all hope will be better than the last one.
Amell said the first episode of the new season “has the opportunity for us to have the most vicious, violent one-shot in the history of network television.” Overall, he added, “If [the premiere] is any indication, Arrow is going to be f–king mean this year, and that’s really exciting.”
Amell later made clear that the tone is “not ‘evil,’ just meaner.”
Inundated with fan questions, Amell said he had “no comment” on the possibility of any Legends of Tomorrow characters showing up on Arrow, but did say the The Flash‘s Flashpoint storyline “certainly could” affect events in Star City.
Season 5 of Arrow will premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 8pm EST on The CW.SuperFable
