Captain America: Civil War: New Int’l Trailer Focuses on High Stakes Emotional Conflict

Captain America: Civil War

The new international trailer for Captain America: Civil War takes a step back from the big action and political stakes, and focuses on the emotional conflict between the former Avengers teammates.

Iron Man and Captain America aren’t the only ones who find themselves at odds. Black Widow finds that Cap won’t listen to her, and she wonders if she and Hawkeye are still friends.

Absent from this spot is another glimpse of Spider-Man.

Captain America: Civil War is in theaters on May 6.

Political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability when the actions of the Avengers lead to collateral damage. The new status quo deeply divides members of the team. Captain America (Chris Evans) believes superheroes should remain free to defend humanity without government interference. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) sharply disagrees and supports oversight. As the debate escalates into an all-out feud, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) must pick a side.
