Disney may have found it’s evil, dog-fur-coat-loving Lady de Vil.
Emma Stone is reportedly in negotiations to play the iconic role in a live-action film featuring the villainous 101 Dalmatians character, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Cruella (as the film will be named) is intended to be an origin story which will likely aim to tell us why the character is so obsessed with getting those dogs’ precious fur. Glenn Close played Cruella in a 1996 live-action film.
Disney has been on a roll, taking animated classics and making live-action films based on them. Recently, it has done Cinderella, The Jungle Book, and Maleficient. It also intends to make live-action films out of Beauty and the Beast (set for a March 17, 2017 release date), Dumbo, and Mulan.
Do you think Emma Stone can pull off an awesome Cruella? Can she live up to this song?
If she doesn’t scare you, no evil thing will.
To see her is to take a sudden chill
Cruella, Cruella De Vil.
The curl of her lips, the ice in her stare.
All innocent children had better beware.
She’s like a spider waiting for the kill.
Look out for Cruella De Vil.
