The Russo brothers have announced on Facebook that filming for Avengers: Infinity War is complete.
In what is to be an epic first part of the biggest conflict Iron Man, Captain America, and the other Avengers have faced yet, Thanos seeks the all-powerful infinity stones so he can rule the universe.
The film also brings together newer members of the MCU including Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), who have “great chemistry” according to Joe Russo.
When asked if the film would have a sequence comparing to the airport fight in Captain America: Civil War, Anthony Mackie responded, “Imagine twenty-five airports all put together,” guaranteeing that Marvel has gone all out on this effort. The scene is reportedly over thirty minutes long.
It’s like World War II for superheroes.
Avengers: Infinity War is set to hit theaters on May 4, 2018.
