A trailer for the film adaptation of James Patterson‘s bestselling young adult series, Maximum Ride, has been released.
The story focuses on a group of six kids whose blood has been fused with avian DNA giving them the ability to sprout wings and fly. The kids, who call themselves a “flock”, band together to fight of wolf-like men called Erasers who want them dead and to find the truth about their past and how they became what they are.

Maximum Ride is directed by Jay Martin, a storyboard artist who made his feature debut with the film 7 Minutes a few years ago. The script is written by Angelique Hanus and Jesse Spears, based on the novel by James Patterson. Paramount will open in select theaters starting September 30th.
