Jon Snow (Kit Harington) was resurrected on last night’s episode of Game of Thrones.
The episode ended months of speculation about one of the show’s favorite characters who was stabbed to death at the end of Season 5.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly (which has an exclusive story on the whole Game of Secrets), Kit Harington said he wanted to let fans know he was “sorry for lying to everyone.” He added, “I’m glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, ‘Fine, Jon Snow’s dead.’ But it seems like people had a, similar to the Red Wedding episode, kind of grief about it. Which means something I’m doing — or the show is doing — is right.”
Not only was Jon Snow brought back to life, but Kit Harington says Season 6 is the biggest one yet for the character. “It’s a massive season for him… He features very prominently.”
Harington adds, “I was told that the season I was coming back for would be my biggest, and that’s quite a lot to take as well.”
