Thor and Jane are over. At least that’s the case if reports are to be believed that Natalie Portman is not coming back for Thor: Ragnarok, the third film in the independent Thor franchise.
Natalie Portman played scientist and Thor’s love interest Jane Foster in Thor and Thor: The Dark World. However, rumors indicate that she was not happy about returning for the sequel. Now, it appears that she is gone for good.
Deadline reports that Tessa Thompson is joining the cast of Thor: Ragnarok as “a kind of superhero” whom we may see in multiple Marvel movies. She is also described as a love interest of Thor (Christ Hemsworth).
The Hollywood Reporter describes Thompson’s role as a female lead.
Thor: Ragnarok is in theaters on November 3, 2017.SuperFable
