The Potters, the Malfoys, the Granger-Weasleys: Final Photos from Cursed Child Released

The Malfoys in 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child'

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is set to begin preview performances on June 7 at London’s Palace Theatre.

A book of the play in print, also titled Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, will be released on July 31st.

Unless you live near (or plan on traveling to) London, you’ll likely not see the much-anticipated play which depicts Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley grown up and with families of their own.

Harry is, of course, married to Ginny and has a son named Albus. Ron and Hermione are married and have two children, Rose and Hugo.

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.

While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, a new play by Jack Thorne will receive its world premiere in London’s West End at the Palace Theatre this summer.

Jamie Parker, Noma Dumezweni and Paul Thornley will lead the cast as Harry, Hermione and Ron, as part of a 42 strong Company.

Written by Jack Thorne and directed by Olivier and Tony award winner John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage, bringing together some of the most exciting talent working in the theatre today.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will be directed by John Tiffany with movement by Steven Hoggett, set by Christine Jones, costumes by Katrina Lindsay, music by Imogen Heap, lighting by Neil Austin, sound by Gareth Fry, special effects by Jeremy Chernick, illusions & magic by Jamie Harrison, music supervision by Martin Lowe and casting by Julia Horan CDG.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, Colin Callender and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions.SuperFable
