Lionsgate is showing a lot of confidence in Power Rangers.
Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer said the new film starring an all-new cast could lead to multiple sequels. According to Variety he said, “We are really, really excited about the Power Rangers movie. We could see doing five or six or seven.”
Feltheimer cited the positive reaction to the Power Rangers’ costumes as one aspect of the goodwill the company is getting toward the new movie.
Power Rangers stars Ludi Lin as Black Ranger Zack, Dacre Montgomery as Red Ranger Jason, Naomi Scott as Pink Ranger Kimberly, Becky G as Yellow Ranger, and RJ Cyler as Blue Ranger Billy. Elizabeth Banks plays the villain Rita Repulsa.
The film is set to release on March 24, 2017.SuperFable
