Now we know who Oscar-winning actor Sylvester Stallone is playing in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
A week ago, he was photographed leaving a hotel in Atlanta where the film is being made. He was carrying a script and got in a car observers said is frequently used by Chris Pratt, the star of the film.
Speculation mounted that Stallone could be portraying Peter Quill’s father or voicing Ego the living planet. The New York Daily News even stated that his role would just be a cameo.
But “Sylvester Stallone is playing one of The Ravagers,” according to Heroic Hollywood’s sources. He has already shot several scenes. He joins Tommy Flanagan who is also playing a Ravager.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is scheduled to be in theaters on May 5, 2017.
