Latino Review is reporting that the newly-cast Tessa Thompson will portray the Valkyrie, Brunnhilde, in Thor: Ragnarok.
It was previously reported that Thompson would portray a “a kind of superhero and will appear in other Marvel films as well.”
There’s no official word on the plot of Thor: Ragnarok, but Thompson as Brunnhilde “is chosen by Odin to lead the Valkyrior, the Asgardians who roam battlefields, and select the honorable dead for Valhalla,” LR says.
Chris Hemsworth will, of course, continue his role as Thor. Mark Ruffalo will be portraying Bruce Banner aka Hulk. Cate Blanchett has been cast as the (primary?) villain, probably Hela. Tom Hiddleston will be back as Loki (Yes!). Idris Elba will continue his portrayal of Heimdall, but it has been rumored he will die in the beginning of the trilogy-concluding film.
Thor: Ragnarok will be directed by a newcomer to the MCU, Taika Waititi.
Thor: Ragnarok is set to hit theaters on November 3, 2017.SuperFable
