Vin Diesel Confirms Guardians of the Galaxy Will be in Avengers: Infinity War

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Guardians of the Galaxy actor Vin Diesel confirmed in a Facebook live stream that he and his fellow Guardians will report for duty in Avengers: Infinity War.

Vin Diesel set out to thank his fans upon the occasion of reaching 100 million of them on Facebook. (Facebook even sent him an award for it.)

He talked a little about his path to joining the MCU — especially how many fans thought he would make a great Avengers team member. He said:

…that whole concept started from you all saying, ‘When are you going to be in a Marvel movie, when are you going to be in a Marvel movie’’ And you remember the first picture after that Marvel meeting that I had, where I was standing with the Avengers thing in the background … there was an old Avengers copy behind me in the picture.

What’s going to be surreal is, that picture is going to come to pass because now the Guardians will be included in Avengers: Infinity War and that’s incredibly exciting, incredibly exciting.

The Guardians haven’t crossed path with the Avengers — and won’t be expected to in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. But with Thanos on a mission to collect the Infinity Stones, the Avengers and the Guardians will soon team up to defeat him.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is in theaters on May 5, 2017.

Avengers: Infinity War is in theaters on May 4, 2018.
