The fate of Supergirl‘s second season is up in the air as CBS executives head to New York to plot the network’s 2016-2017 schedule.
According to Deadline, the network is considering moving Supergirl‘s production from Los Angeles to Vancouver in order to cut costs. Vancouver is also the home of Greg Berlanti’s other DC TV shows, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow.
However, rumor has it that the show is also considering moving to The CW entirely. “There is the possibility of the show not getting renewed by CBS,” Deadline reports. “There already has been incoming interest by multiple networks and digital platforms inquiring about picking up the show should CBS cancel it.”
While The CW would be a logical choice for the superhero drama (as long as they don’t stick the show on Fridays), Hulu is also said to be showing interest as a way to combat the growing Marvel-based series over at their competitor, Netflix.
We should hear something soon as CBS’ executives will be hashing out the network’s 2016-2017 schedule this week.SuperFable
